Climbing is experiencing great popularity nowadays: what used to be a niche sport, a group of “crazy” athletes, has become a very accessible sport thanks to the emergence of climbing gyms and the rapid development of equipment. Climbing not only makes young and old happy, but also opens the doors to vertical freedom, allows new points of view and keeps physically and mentally fit.
Climbing without bolts, also known as Clean Climbing or Trad Climbing, is however a very serious undertaking that requires a sound basic knowledge, and a lot of practice in the evaluation and placement of the self-protections.
In order to train conscious clean climbers, we have created this 1-day Clean Climbing compact course to give you the absolute basics to go clean climbing safely.
We plan our climbing courses carefully and adventurously so that we can enjoy an unforgettable experience full of breathtaking views, exercise and fun on the rock. Some cantons where we conduct our courses are: Ticino, Uri, Bern, Schwyz and many more.
If you prefer to deepen your basic knowledge and go clean climbing worry-free, we also offer a two-day “Immersion” course, which will teach you much more basic knowledge than this somewhat “compressed” one-day version.

Planned scherdule of the Clean Climbing Compact Course
Morning
From the meeting point we reach the climbing crag on foot, which we have chosen as course location.
We will be instructed in the use of friends and nuts, in their optimal placement and in the tactics of clean climbing. Strategic approach is required above all in clean climbing, and caution is required to climb safely! We combine theory with lots of climbing, sun, fun!
Depending on climbing experience, we choose suitable routes, so that everyone can apply the learned techniques with pleasure.
Afternoon
Lead climbing, energy-saving climbing, evaluation of rock quality… there are quite a lot of topics that we will cover today. Nevertheless, at the request of the participants, we can address certain topics, so that at the end of the day everyone will be able to go clean climbing independently in the crag.
At the end we will share our impressions about this experience. See you soon on another adventure!

Catering
- Snack (included, serves to replenish the energy balance): This is eaten between breakfast and dinner and taken along for appropriate days. Dried fruit, chocolate, cheese, wholemeal bread and energy bars are well suited. Remember that your backpack should not be too heavy.
- Half board (not included): Out of a commitment to animal welfare, we do not offer fish/meat. We do our best to keep the menu as exciting as possible despite logistical challenges. Please notify us in advance of any special dietary needs

There will be something for everyone to climb, but you should have climbed a lot yourself already and be able to climb at least 6a Onsight!
