Overview

If you would like to write a guest post for us, we have put together a little guide for you here.

We are always happy to receive interesting guest posts that deal with mountain sports or adventure travel, but other helpful travel topics are also welcome. Please adhere strictly to the following requirements so that we do not have to reject your proposal and can publish your article in the Exped Tribe Blog under the appropriate category.

A few words in advance:

Before you send us your proposal, please tell us a few sentences about yourself and your blog or send us a link. Also send us 2-3 topic suggestions including title ideas and read through existing posts from us to get a feel for the writing style and see if the topic isn’t already on our site. Your article should inspire, be helpful or solve problems. We only accept guest posts from bloggers or private individuals.

If we like your idea:

If we like your idea, please send us the finished article in text or Word format, also as a finished HTML text, including formatting. Please make sure that the article is unique content and does not contain any ‘copy & paste’ actions from other, previously published articles on other blogs or websites. Your guest post should be more than 1000 words and have good spelling, grammar and phrasing. Include paragraphs in the article to make it easier to read. If possible, include subheadings.

We always address the reader directly as ‘you’, so we don’t use pronouns like ‘man’ or ‘her’. Good photo material of your own should of course be included (at least 3 photos). The minimum width is 1200 pixels, ideally in 16:9 format, i.e. 1200x 800. We do not accept photo branding, logos or URLs in the photos. You can also use Creative Commons photos from Flickr etc. (please only use the attribution licence). All we need are the links to the respective photos and we will take care of the rest.

Links in the article to your blog are allowed, but no company links. Please add a maximum of 2 personal links per article. We reserve the right to make changes to the content or add our own links if necessary. You authorise us to use one of your photos for the article image. It will of course only be used as a cover image and for social media posts. If you wish, you can also send us a short author info, which we will be happy to add. You are also welcome to include a photo (square format), even if this is not mandatory.

Last but not least:

As soon as your article is online, you should of course also post it on all your social media channels. You can check the article every few days after publication and answer any comments or questions. We look forward to your ideas and suggestions!
