Alpine tours with a mountain guide: from your first 4000er to the Matterhorn

Alpine tours take you across glaciers, snow slopes and ridges to the highest summits in the Alps. Our guides lead you in Valais, the Bernese Oberland, Graubünden, Central Switzerland and on Mont Blanc. Depending on the objective, you climb in a small group or one-on-one with your guide. Most alpine tours run from June to September.

Getting started: easy 4000ers and glacier tours

The Breithorn is considered the easiest 4000er in the Alps to climb. Our Breithorn tour takes a single day, as does the Allalinhorn tour. For the Wildhorn tour from the Wildhorn Hut you need no experience with crampons and rope, just sure footing. The Vrenelisgärtli in Glarus is also perfect for your first steps on an alpine tour.

The great classics in Valais and the Bernese Oberland

With some experience, the iconic summits open up to you. At 4,634 m, the Dufourspitze is the highest summit in Switzerland, and the Dom is the highest mountain entirely on Swiss soil. The Finsteraarhorn is the highest peak of the Bernese Alps, and with Mönch and Jungfrau you climb two 4000ers in one weekend. On the five-day Spaghetti Tour you link up ten 4000ers on Monte Rosa.

Demanding ridges for experienced climbers

For experienced alpinists we guide the great ridge routes: the Matterhorn via the Hörnli Ridge or the Lion Ridge, the Eiger Mittellegi Ridge and the Biancograt on Piz Bernina, the only 4000er in the Eastern Alps. Mont Blanc is on the programme too, for example via the normal route with a night at the Tête Rousse Hut.

Which alpine tour is right for you?

Every tour is rated for technique and fitness. Without alpine experience, start with a beginner-level tour or learn the basics first in an alpine mountaineering course. After that you can take on higher and more technical objectives step by step.
