With an altitude of 7134 m, Peak Lenin is an imposing mountain located in the Pamir Mountains in Central Asia. It belongs to the Transalai mountain range and is considered the “lightest” 7000m peak in the world. The view from the summit, in good weather, reaches to Peak Communism and as far as the Afghan Hindu Kush. It is also one of the five “Snow Leopards”, the Soviet Mountaineering Award for ascents above 7000 m in Central Asia.
